Luxury Accomodation

Headland Cottage is a luxury refurbishment of a 18th century Fisherman’s’ house offering all the character and facilities that you could wish for from an idyllic holiday cottage in West Wales. The décor is in keeping with the nautical history of the property with three comfortable and stylish bedrooms, beautiful new bathrooms, high-spec kitchen with dining area and a compact outdoor kitchen built into an exquisite outdoor terrace overlooking the secret cove to the rear of the property. From the front of the property you have direct access to the beach and wonderful views of the two blue-flag, award winning beaches at Aberporth. In fact Headland Cottage has front-line sea views from every main window in the house both front and back so if you are lucky you can watch the dolphins play from your bathroom! This dog friendly property also has a contained front garden area complete with an outdoor shower.

Stunning Surroundings

Aberporth is located in Ceredigion, and on Cardigan Bay and is recognised as one of the best seaside locations in the UK, featuring in the Times top secret beaches, and the winner of Wales’ best beach award. It is no wonder it is so highly regarded, it is a charming historic fishing village set on a spectacular bay made up of two idyllic sandy beaches sloping into crystal clear waters. In the summer there are lifeguards on the beach so safe for families, with water sports and one of the two beaches is also dog friendly all year around. The award winning Ceredigion coast-path runs through Aberporth and contains one of the few sections of coast path that is wheelchair accessible. You can stroll along to Tresaith (another beautiful bay) for lunch or much further, in fact the whole of Cardigan Bay is accessible from your doorstep.

The village has a strong community and has recently been recognised internationally for leading the way on becoming ‘plastic free’. There are a couple of pubs, cafés, a fish and chip shop and the new ‘The Boy Ashore’ beach shack specialising in BBQ right on the beach. This part of the bay is famous for its resident bottlenose dolphin population that can often be spotted from the beach or you can get closer via sea-life watching trips from both nearby Newquay and also Cardigan. Two bays along the coast path is the beautiful Penbryn National Trust beach, woodland, watermill and café. A few miles away is Cardigan Town with an array of shops and restaurants, as well as the 900-year old Cardigan Castle. There is so much to do, see and taste in the local area you are spoilt for choice.

“Breath taking, what a fabulous location and cottage, we have stayed in five star properties all around the world and this is our favourite – designer interiors and a unique position right on the beach”
